In a video obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation, Christina Ford's lawyer, Debra Katz, admitted that her client's motivation for accusing Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of rape was at least partially political. “[Brett Kavanaugh] will always have an asterisk next to his name,” Katz said. “When he takes a scalpel to Roe v. Wade, we will know who he is, we know his character, and we know what motivates him, and that is important; it is important that we know, and that is part of what motivated Christine.”Katz was speaking at a University of Baltimore Feminist Legal Theory Conference entitled "Applied Feminism and #MeToo" last April when the footage was recorded.
