Down Syndrome A Modern-Day Death Sentence

Claire will never read these words. But at least she is alive and brings joy to her many friends and family members. You see, Claire is a survivor. She survived one of the most ruthlessly effective extermination programs in modern times. Claire has Down syndrome. Most of her Down syndrome brothers and sisters never got to be born. In the United States, more than 90 percent of babies diagnosed with Down syndrome are aborted.

Stem cell order coming soon from Obama

Expect an executive order soon from Barack Obama on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research. That's the word from White House adviser David Axelrod. Under President George W. Bush, federal money for research on human embryonic stems cells was limited to those stem cell lines that were created before Aug. 9, 2001. No federal dollars could be used on research with cell lines from embryos destroyed from that point forward. Federal rules do not restrict embryonic stem cell research using state or private funds.

Sex Assault Victim Sues Planned Parenthood

Woman Says Planned Parenthood Let Sex Abuse Go

A Warren County woman sued Planned Parenthood on Friday, accusing its staff of ignoring training and procedures by not reporting her suspected sex abuse when she was a minor, resulting in her being sexually abused for 1½ more years. "They played ostrich," attorney Brian Hurley said, suggesting Planned Parenthood employees purposely ignored warning signs of suspected sex abuse. Hurley filed the suit in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court. The suit accused Planned Parenthood and five of its employees of ignoring obvious signs of suspected sexual abuse instead of reporting them as Ohio law requires. The woman was sexually assaulted from age 13 through age 17 by her biological father and became pregnant by him, the suit alleges. She went to the Mount Auburn facility of Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio in November 2004 to have an abortion.

Stimulus Provision Endangers Seniors, Opens Door for Euthanasia

"Our elected representatives have fed on the fears of a nation gripped by economic panic to legislate state-enforced euthanasia. President Obama's economic stimulus package puts a price tag on each of our heads. The package's healthcare provisions threaten the elderly and open the door for euthanasia and nationalized health care. Patterned on a plan outlined by Sen. Tom Daschle in his book "Critical: What We Can Do About the Health Care Crisis," the plan will have the greatest impact on seniors and places the country a step closer to mandated euthanasia of the elderly, infirm and those deemed undesirable.

Doctors to Get Bonuses for Giving Teenagers Contraceptive Implants and Jabs Without Informing Parents

GPs will be paid bonuses for persuading teenagers to have long-lasting contraceptive implants and jabs without their parents' knowledge, it has emerged. From next year, doctors are to receive the payments for encouraging young women to use long-acting methods of contraception rather than taking the Pill each day. They will be pressed to tell those prescribed the morning-after pill that an injection or coil would be better to prevent pregnancies.
