Leave it to leftist, pro-abortion feminist actor Lena Dunham who tweeted on Sunday: "You don't need a father--so many families work so many ways--but if you have one, he better werk."

Among those blasting Dunham’s tweet was President Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., who tweeted: “It never ends. Would be great to have just 1 day without the unnecessary SJW commentary. Doubt there was a similar comment on Mother's Day.  Dunham later deleted the no-fathers-necessary tweet, Breitbart reported. but her recovered tweet was “saved for posterity” by conservative YouTuber Mark Dice.

Liberal denominations beg Congress to protect Planned Parenthood

Protestants take diametrically opposing views of abortion in America. While the Southern Baptist Convention just "declared war" on Planned Parenthood, calling on Congress to defund the nation's largest abortion business of tax dollars, other denominations are urging Capitol Hill legislators to continue giving half a billion tax dollars to the country’s largest abortion provider.

More than 150 liberal organizations, including the United Methodist Church, the United Church of Christ, and the African Methodist Episcopal Church as well as Presbyterian and Jewish organizations, signed a letter calling for U.S. senators to keep Planned Parenthood on the government dole. The letter also champions support for Obamacare and Medicaid expansion.

Harvard legal journal just shattered arguments for legal abortion

The nation’s “leading forum for conservative and libertarian legal scholarship,” according to its website, said in its report that unborn children do in fact fall under the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections.

The Fourteenth Amendment, adopted in 1868, holds that no state shall “deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

All six have co-sponsored the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would ban late-term abortions when a baby can feel pain. Franks is sponsoring the 2017-2018 version of the bill.

World Health Organization elects new Director General, Dr. Tedros

The 70th annual World Health Assembly, the governing body of the World Health Organization (WHO), elected Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus of Ethiopia to be its new director general on May 23. Selected on the third ballot, he will replace retiring WHO Director General Margaret Chan.

Dr. Tedros, as he likes to be referred to, ran a two-year global campaign for the position complete with paid public relations consultants, a strong social media presence, and the iron-clad support of the African Union nations. Although the balloting for WHO Director General was secretive, most nations made their support of one of the three candidates in the race well known. Each member nation may cast one vote in the election, and Dr. Tedros had a wide lead over his two competitors. Dr. Tedros won the election outright on the third ballot.

The election of Dr. Tedros is cause for great concern for pro-lifers. As the Parliamentary Network for Critical Issues commented, “In a letter signed by 122 pro abortion NGOs including IPPF, Marie Stopes International, Ipas and ‘Catholics’ for Choice, Tedros–known to support the sexual and reproductive health agenda– is ‘warmly congratulated’ as the groups urge him as incoming WHO Director General ‘to fully support, pursue, and defend a comprehensive approach to women’s health, accounting for the full spectrum of women and girls’ sexual and reproductive health issues, needs, and rights.’”

Dr. Tedros has a long personal history of supporting and legalizing abortion in his own country of Ethiopia. Other reasons to be concerned include his advocacy of a “rights based” approach to health care and his determination to implement United Nations development goals which call for sexual and “reproductive health and rights,” code words for abortion.

Autumn is the grandchild of Star Wars star Mark Hamill.
The mother who was pressured to abort by the famous family of her baby’s father is going about the business of raising her child that she welcomed into the world last fall.

Maegan Chen was dating Nathan Hamill last year when she became pregnant. Hamill, some of his friends and family members – he’s the son of actor Mark Hamill and his wife Marilou – tried to coerce Chen or manipulate her into aborting.

House pro-lifers warn Senate: Don't fund PP

Fox News reports that "several" GOP senators may be willing to back a healthcare bill that funds Planned Parenthood. No senators were identified, but if a Republican-backed measure includes funding for Planned Parenthood, it would be counter to the House-approved American Health Care Act which temporarily defunds Planned Parenthood.

"That's very concerning to me and a number of other pro-life conservative members in the House who worked hard to implement a number of strong pro-life protections in the American Health Care Act, including a one-year defunding of public funding to Planned Parenthood," says Congressman Jim Banks (R-Indiana).

"If those provisions are stripped out," Banks continues, "it would make it very difficult for conservative members in the House of Representatives to vote for a bill that comes back from the Senate that would do that – [and] that's why many of us are expressing our concerns to the Senate leadership that if they do that, that would make it harder to ultimately pass this bill and get it to the president's desk."

Have we, God's people, done just that?  Have we prayed that God would put Godly men and women in our city, county, state and federal government offices and then failed to cover them in prayer?

Perhaps it's time to renew our commitment to pray for them!

Will you join us in praying that God will give our Godly leaders boldness and courageous to fight courageously each day for a government that honors God in their words and their deeds?

Will you step up to be a guardian of our cities and our state?  Will you be the watchman on the wall?  Will you be the prayer warrior and the superhero that Illinois is so greatly in need of today?

Washington Post fact-checker downplays link between abortion and breast cancer

Donald Trump’s recent appointment of Charmaine Yoest to a position within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) received considerable media coverage. Yoest, who once served as President of Americans United for Life (AUL), a prominent beltway pro-life group, has stated on previous occasions that abortion increases the risk of breast cancer. This position was prominently mentioned and criticized in articles run by a number of media outlets, including the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Cosmopolitan, the Washington Post, and the New York Times.

Last month, Washington Post fact-checker Michelle Ye He Lee conducted an analysis of the link between abortion and breast cancer. To the Post’s credit, Lee’s analysis is fairer than most media coverage of this topic. Lee acknowledges that academic studies dating back to the 1950s show that abortion increases the risk of breast cancer. Lee also contacted both the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AAPLOG) and the Breast Cancer Prevention Institute (BCPI), both of whom support the abortion–breast cancer link. Lee presents both their arguments and links to their studies.

Pro-life senators must deliver on promises and defund Planned Parenthood

The Senate is considering whether or not to fund Planned Parenthood with your tax dollars in the reconciliation bill. This legislation requires only a majority vote because it’s not subject to a Senate filibuster, but a reconciliation bill limits the Senate’s actions to measures related to the budget.

Withholding Medicaid reimbursement for 12 months will make a significant difference to the future of this abortion giant. Their infrastructure would immediately begin to deteriorate. Bills wouldn’t be paid and payroll could not be met. Employees would quickly find other jobs and clients would find alternate sources for non-abortion-related services.

Community Health Care Centers Offer Full Spectrum of Primary Care, Unlike Planned Parenthood

“If Planned Parenthood is defunded in the health care bill currently before the Senate, won’t this deprive women of vital health care services?”

FRC has recently received a number of comments along these lines. While admitting that Planned Parenthood “has done some bad things,” some are still concerned that millions of women will be deprived of vital health care if the primary provider of abortions in America loses federal funding.

It is important to know that there are 13,540 federally-qualified, low-cost, high quality health care clinics and rural health centers, which outnumber Planned Parenthood 20 to 1 nationally. (By August 2017, there will be 620 Planned Parenthood facilities, down from 662 in 2015.)

These federally-qualified health centers not only offer screening and prevention services, pap smears, cancer screenings, breast exams, and prenatal services, but they also offer a full spectrum of other primary care services that Planned Parenthood fails to provide

Actress Sally Field: ‘I Won’t Stay Silent’ on abortion

While much of the Tony Awards Ceremony was focused at either Trump or the actual Broadway plays, one of the nominees used the event as a reason to show her “celebration of Planned Parenthood.” Huffington Post reporter Jenavieve Hatch gushed over the star’s attempt to make her public appearance political.

Sally Field, nominated for Best Leading Actress for her role in The Glass Menagerie, posted a picture of herself sporting a Planned Parenthood pin on her outfit.

And as if that wasn’t enough, she captioned her photo with: “Sick of hearing actors talk re politics? 2 bad I won’t stay silent while politicians attack our rights. Proud to #StandwithPP.”

Ohio tries again to ban abortions after heartbeat begins

On Tuesday, two Ohio representatives reintroduced legislation protecting babies with detectable heartbeats from abortion. Last year, Republican Gov. John Kasich vetoed the measure when it came to his desk.  (The human heart begins to beat around 21 days after conception.) 

Usually called the "Heartbeat Bill," if passed, this legislation would make Ohio the state with the most protections for children in the womb.

How millennials are impacting the pro-life movement


March for Life

In the 2016 March for Life, the youth made up 80 percent of approximately the half-million marchers. The pro-life movement is mostly a youth movement. As the most tech savvy of all the generations, they are perhaps the least likely to be fooled by pro-abortion rhetoric. Their first baby pictures were most likely sonogram images or even 3D ultrasound pictures. They have access to YouTube, Snapchat, Tumblr, Twitter, VSCO, Instagram, etc. and they know how to use it. There is no topic they don’t know how to Google search within seconds for answers.  They know what abortion is and they don’t like it.

It’s easy to understand why. This generation is not just standing up for babies in danger of being aborted — they are also standing up for themselves. They understand that they are survivors. They know that when they were in the womb, they were not protected. Millennials experience "survivor syndrome," like soldiers back from the war in which their comrades were killed. In fact, during the gatherings of the Silent No More campaign (a project of Priests for Life and Anglicans for Life), we have a growing awareness of siblings holding signs that say, I mourn my aborted sibling.

Latest Gallup numbers very encouraging for pro-lifers

An analysis of the 1,011 adults queried by Gallup to various dimensions of abortion issue appeared June 9. What does the latest survey tell us? Let’s start at the end with what the author Lydia Saad calls the “Bottom Line” and work backwards:

There is no consensus among the American public for making abortion completely legal or illegal. Rather, the largest segment falls in the middle, saying it should be legal but with restrictions. Nearly half of U.S. adults also consider abortion morally wrong.

This helps explain how the states have been able to pass a vast array of laws limiting when, where and how abortions can be performed. It also sheds light on how citizens can shift from electing a staunchly pro-choice president in Barack Obama to electing an avowed pro-life one in Donald Trump. For most Americans, the issue involves shades of gray, not black and white.

Pro-lifers not resting case against Chicago bubble zone

Chicago enacted a bubble zone rule of 50 feet from abortion clinic entrances, stating that once in that bubble, pro-life counselors could get no closer than eight feet from someone entering the clinic. Eric Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League says his organization filed suit against that rule about two years ago.

"We have documented the many ways that this law has been abused – the way it's been used harass pro-lifers," he tells OneNewsNow. "Plus, the fact that it's been only actually used in any kind of police action a couple of times, and in every instance those cases have been dismissed."

In contrast to the restriction on pro-lifers, abortion proponents – including clinic escorts – can enter into the same bubble zone and confront pro-lifers, screaming and yelling at them if they choose. Scheidler contends that one form of speech is restricted while another is not.

Judge who censored undercover Planned Parenthood videos was on pro-abortion group’s board

The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) is seeking to disqualify the judge who censored its undercover footage of an abortion conference because of his ties to a pro-Planned Parenthood organization that lets the abortion company run a clinic on its premises.

When David Daleiden began releasing his now-famous exposé on the abortion industry's participation in the baby body parts trade, the National Abortion Federation (NAF) took him to court. Daleiden had undercover recordings of its abortion trade show. NAF succeeded in getting U.S. District Judge William Orrick to issue a gag order preventing the release of this footage.

‘Wonder Woman’ filmed epic fight scene while five months pregnant

Israeli actress Gal Gadot was five months’ pregnant with her second child last November while she did reshoots that involved a battle scene for the superhero Wonder Woman film.

Gadot — an international model and former Miss Israel who served two years in the Israeli Defense Forces beginning at age 20 and also performed her own stunts acting in three installments of the "Fast and Furious" movie franchise – illustrated the folly of a feminist culture that tells women they can’t have a life and children.
