Planned Parenthood marks 100th anniversary with yet another facelift

Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion business, relies on the marketing equivalent of frequent cosmetic surgery to maintain their pretty pink façade of caring about women. Literally making a business out of butchering preborn children and manipulating women every day, the 100-year-old organization has gone through extensive rebrands to continuously blur their primary source of profit: abortion. Planned Parenthood must constantly reinforce the lie that they are a healthcare provider with an altruistic heart for poor and minority women in order to remain current.

Their current rebrand, reported by FastCo Design, was hatched in 2014. Unbeknownst to the organization, the Center for Medical Progress spent that year inside Planned Parenthood abortion facilities and in meetings with their executives across the nation, gathering scathing undercover footage that would irrevocably damage the carefully-constructed façade the organization spent one hundred years polishing. Nonetheless, FastCo Design reveals that Planned Parenthood is on-schedule with their latest marketing ploys, the “Planned Parenthood Experience.”

“When Ideo [the consultancy behind the latest rebrand] and Planned Parenthood delved into ways to improve their operations,” reports FastCo Design, “it always came back to the employees, everyone from health care providers to administrative staff and security.” This is bad news for Planned Parenthood in light of legion evidence that the company’s employees are often bereft of humane concern for the women they purport to serve.

The right to choose “and the right to lose”

We all have seen and heard videos in which a parent, usually but not always the mom, reflects back on what could have been–the child they did not welcome into this world and whose absence she now bitterly regrets. Often the mom visualizes her child as she would be today if she had not been…..

As good example as you ever see is an absolutely beautiful–and haunting video–“Unborn Grace” taken from the album “Deeper Still.”

When I first encountered a link to the video, I knew nothing about Faye Smith except that she has an absolutely beautiful, soulful voice put to exquisite use in this 4 minute long video.

Baby given less than a 1% chance of survival returns home with her mother

Fionnuala McArdle was just 23 weeks pregnant when her daughter was born on October 9 last year. Her baby weighed just over a pound (480g) and doctors at the Royal Maternity Hospital’s neonatal unit gave her between a zero and one per cent chance of surviving. Fionnula’s daughter was also born with pneumonia and surrounded by toxic fluids.

Fionnuala named her daughter Meabh, which is an Irish name meaning the cause of great joy. Appropriately enough, Meabh’s name is thought to originate from the great warrior queen Mabh of Connacht.

True fighter

Little Meabh has certainly proven herself to be a true fighter over the past five months, as she’s gone through four operations, including a major heart operation and two on her eyes.

But with the help of medics, she’s pulled through – and has now been discharged from hospital to return home with her mother.

FDA expansion of abortion pill use still does not necessarily mean chemical abortion is safer

Many suspected that today’s announcement by the FDA was a long time coming. Despite a record of at least 14 known deaths, and thousands of women suffering significant adverse events, the FDA relaxed safety standards and modified the protocol for mifepristone/misoprostol chemical abortions that had been in place since September of 2000.

The FDA, responding to a request by the U.S. distributor of the drug, has modified dosages, changed the administration, reduced the number of visits, expanded the prescriber pool, and extended the time frame where the drugs may be used. Though applauded by the abortion industry, the documentation demonstrating the impact on women’s safety has not been made publicly available.

Certainly, none of the modifications is of any benefit to the unborn child.

For women, the mifepristone/misoprostol combination comes with significant cramping, bleeding, and other gastrointestinal side effects (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) that are expected parts of the chemical abortion process.

While it may be claimed that these side effects are supposed to be reduced with the new protocol, chemical abortions simply do not occur without significant bleeding, cramping, etc. That these side effects are similar to signs of ruptured ectopic pregnancy, serious infection, or may be the prelude to significant hemorrhage that could be missed by patients or even doctors expecting these as part of any chemical abortion would still appear to be a problem under any protocol.

In the end, it is obvious that the FDA’s new protocol serves only the interests of the abortion industry by expanding their base of potential customers, increasing their profit margin, and reducing the level of staff and amount of resources they have to devote to the patient.

In ultrasound, unborn baby shown clapping along to “If you’re happy and you know it”

I love to watch ultrasounds. I love how cleverly families use them to introduce the newest members to their friends and loved ones.

Take a You Tube video posted by Jen Cardinal, the baby’s mother. You’ll quickly see why it is no mystery that I love it.

The 15-second-long video is simultaneously touching and hilarious. Here’s Jen’s brief introduction:

At our 14 week ultrasound our baby was clapping, so I sang a song with our doctor as my husband filmed.

Abortion mandate cases teeter on edge of 4-4 ruling

Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Greg Baylor is representing two of the Christian universities seeking relief from the mandate. He says with the recent death of Justice Antonin Scalia it's possible the court could wind up with a four-to-four decision.

"So that would leave in place all seven decisions that the court was reviewing,” he says. "And all seven of those cases, unfortunately, were losses for religious organizations that cannot comply with the mandate in a manner consistent with their religious conscience."

According to Baylor, it's also possible that the eight remaining justices could decide to do nothing for now. "Their second option would be to not issue any kind of decision at all and set the case for re-argument at a time when there are nine justices on the court," he says.

Women have trouble “ending the life” of a late term unborn baby

Ann Furedi comments on late-term abortions and women’s reluctance to get them [1]:

“Many women, who would have few qualms about opting for a pregnancy to be terminated in its early weeks, balk at the thought of ending a life they have felt move inside them.”

Ann Furedi runs the largest chain of abortion clinics in Great Britain. She mentions that abortion is “ending a life.”

Houston Planned Parenthood joins lawsuit against Daleiden after being caught on video

Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast (PPGC), based in Houston, joined a lawsuit against the pro-life investigators who released undercover footage showing abortion officials – including some in Houston – discussing the harvesting and sale of human organs.

“Extreme anti-abortion politicians who want to ban abortion have invoked these lies to fuel their efforts to pass extreme restrictions on access to reproductive health care,” said PPGC President Melaney Linton in a press statement. “Even after David Daleiden has been indicted on a felony charge and these videos have been thoroughly discredited, women are still facing devastating consequences from these smear videos.”

China brags on ending lives to stop pollution

The theme of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women is “Women's Empowerment and the Link to Sustainable Development,” and that includes the issue of pollution. Reggie Littlejohn of Women's Rights Without Frontiers points to a statement by a senior Chinese official for family planning.

“She stated that China has done a great job with their one-child policy and that they have prevented 400 million lives, and that this converts into a reduction of 1.83 billion tons of carbon dioxide emissions in China per annum,” Littlejohn says.

The concept insinuates that forcing abortion and terminating the lives of children is a blessing because it supposedly improves the environment.

Women on IUDs and LARCs more likely to have multiple abortions: new study

Upending years of widely accepted talking points from Planned Parenthood and the Obama administration, a study has found that post-abortive women who use long-acting contraceptives like the IUD or Depo-Provera are nearly twice as likely to have a repeat abortion than women who use no birth control at all.

Women who had IUDs or long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) implanted before they left the operating room had a 1.78 higher chance of having a repeat abortion within two years than women who did not, it concluded.

George Soros’ son donates $1 million to Planned Parenthood

The son of leading Democratic donor George Soros was Planned Parenthood Votes' (PPV) largest donor in February -- to the tune of one million dollars.

According to Federal Elections Commission (FEC) data originally reported by The Washington Free Beacon, Jonathan Soros gave the donation to the campaign arm of Planned Parenthood. That number is four times that given by his sister, Andrea Soros Colombel, in January -- a month that saw five donors give to PPV.

What Women Want

In a few hours thousands of women representing hundreds of organizations, some which profit directly from abortion, will ask and lobby the United Nations to adopt resolutions that will guarantee abortion as a global human right. They’re going to do this by insisting that a right to Sexual Reproduction is what women want to achieve parity with men, as well as their wealthier, and lighter skinned sisters.

They’re wrong. Deadly wrong.

In a few hours these pro-abortion zealots, their friends and comrades will turn to social media, in general, Twitter in particular, and use the hashtag #WhatWomenWant as a way to promote their radicalized faux-feminist world view. Their world view so inculcated with and indoctrinated in the abortion-on-demand-for-any-reason way of thinking that they tragically fail to see what real women want or need.

New Data Still Fails to Establish Abortion Industry Claims that 2013 Texas Law Caused Closure of More than 20 Clinics

Less than a month ago, a lawyer for the abortion industry was before the Supreme Court arguing in Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt that Texas’ 2013 abortion law had been responsible for the closing of more than twenty clinics in the state.

Challenged to prove her point, the Center for Reproductive Right’s Stephanie Toti stumbled. She eventually was forced to admit she had failed to provide direct evidence linking the any closures to particular elements of the law the justices were considering.

It was a moment that a Dallas Morning News headline labeled a “fumble” and a columnist for the paper identified as “a very odd miscue on a very big stage” (DMN, 3/21/16)

NBC Actually Grills WH Chief of Staff on Obama’s ‘Supreme’ Hypocrisy

In an interview with White House chief of staff Denis McDonough on Thursday, Today co-host Savannah Guthrie surprisingly held President Obama accountable for opposing Republican Supreme Court nominees in the past while calling on the GOP to approve his now.

After McDonough called on the Senate to “do its job” and allow a vote on Merrick Garland, Guthrie countered: “When it comes to these judicial nominations, perhaps neither side has clean hands entirely. Back when Senator Obama was in office he voted against Justice Robert’s nomination and Justice Alito’s nomination. So is this a case of what’s good for the goose is what’s good for the gander? How does he explain that now?”

McDonough claimed: “…in both of those cases not only did senators meet with and give a hearing to those candidates, but in fact, they voted on them. And that’s exactly the process that we’re asking for here.”

Guthrie promptly corrected him: “But, Denis, President Obama voted to filibuster Justice Alito, which is another way of saying not bring him to the Senate floor for a full vote.”

This powerful new pro-life movie has already saved babies’ lives

Bruce Marchiano is reprising his role as Jesus. Yet again. The actor, producer and screenwriter is best known for his first appearance as Jesus in The Gospel of Matthew. Now, he’s about to be the face of Jesus to the pro-life community—and hopefully many pro-life converts, as his new film, Alison’s Choice was released last week.

Alison’s Choice is a full-length feature film about a girl named Alison who finds herself pregnant and makes an appointment at an abortion facility. There, her conflict as she waits to be called for her abortion becomes the powerful story behind the unique pro-life film. Marchiano plays the role of Jesus, in the form of a janitor at the abortion clinic. Throughout the course of the film, his personification of God is forefront in Alison’s decision.

14-year-old Disney star: Planned Parenthood’s Cecile Richards is one of my ‘role models’

"Girl Meets World" actress Rowan Blanchard is only 14, but she recently called Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards one of her "role models" in a lengthy Paper magazine conversation with Richards about supporting abortion, contraception, and sexual morality.

According to Blanchard, "many of my friends...are like, 'I come from a very conservative family that literally does not believe in any of this, in being able to have access to any of this,' and they're like, 'I can drive, and I know where my nearest Planned Parenthood is... I can go there and have a non-judgmental place where it's safe.'"
