The tabloid headlines suggest scientists have found a way to use skin cells instead of eggs to create human embryos, meaning in a futuristic sense two men could use the that method to reproduce.
Dr. David Prentice of the Charlotte Lozier Institute tells OneNewsNow the tabloids are wrong.
“What they actually did was they took an egg and they started it growing as an embryo, what's called a parthanogenetic embryo,” he explains. “You can trick an egg into thinking it's been fertilized, and it'll start growing like any other embryo but it only has female chromosomes.”

Churches lag on pro-life ministry
Students for Life's Institute for Pro-Life Advancement has released a new poll on discussing abortion within the church. Spokesperson Lisa Stover tells OneNewsNow a Gallup Poll found that 52 percent of women who have an abortion self-identify as Christians.
“And then in 2015 LifeWay Research found the number to be close to 70 percent, and they also found that 76 percent of those active, church-going women said that their church had no influence on their decision to abort,” she says. “And so this really shows that there's something lacking in our churches today.”
So if Christians attending church are not hearing the pro-life message and feel they have nowhere to turn within the church, she says, they tend to seek abortions.

“Death Control” and the bioethics peril
![]() |
The late Richard John Neuhaus |
Thanks to the work of bioethics, life-taking policies that a few decades ago were “unthinkable” now are unremarkable. Withholding tube-supplied food and water from the cognitively disabled until they die—Terri Schiavo’s fate—is now legal and popularly accepted. The legalization of assisted suicide is a constant threat. Even where lethal prescriptions or injections cannot be legally provided, some of our most notable bioethicists urge that doctors be permitted to help the elderly and others commit suicide by self-starvation—a process known in euthanasia advocacy circles as VSED (Voluntary Stopping of Eating and Drinking).
Promoters of the culture of death never rest on their laurels. Following the link below are a few of the more dangerous “advances” being promoted in bioethics.

Pro-life leader defends GOP amid Zika fight
A two-month battle has ensued on Capitol Hill, where Democrats held up Zika funding to obtain funds for abortion giant Planned Parenthood.
Douglas Johnson of the National Right to Life Committee says the blames goes to the Democrats.
"Who were simply willing to let there be no mosquito control, no vaccine development funds," Johnson claims, "unless these funds were not constrained in the way that the Republicans wanted to constrain them."
GOP leaders wanted to keep the funds from groups that perform abortions, and there is criticism that Republicans are willing to drop that provision.
Johnson says that doesn't mean Republicans caved on the issue and calls GOP leadership "outstanding" on the issue.

Open Letter Requesting ‘UN International Safe Abortion Day’
![]() |
Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi from South Africa |
September 28 is a date that has been used by pro-abortion activists to protest pro-life laws and stage events promoting abortion since 1990.
The Open Letter states that the purpose of an official UN day for so-called ‘safe abortion’ is “to send a strong signal to the international community and to all our governments, with a simple but highly symbolic statement of support for safe abortion.”
The letter is filled with pro-abortion falsehoods and arguments.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon received his letter in person, delivered by Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi from South Africa, the Special Envoy on Gender of the African Development Bank. The letter was also addressed to the heads of UN Women, UN Development Programme, World Health Organization, UN Population Fund, UN Children’s Fund, UNAIDS, and UNESCO.

Obama’s HHS: Title X grants must go to Planned Parenthood
The Obama administration is slapping down every state that has acted on the idea that the federal Title X reproductive healthcare program was NOT created to bankroll Planned Parenthood.
A proposed new Health & Human Services (HHS) rule announced last week would nullify state eligibility thresholds that prioritizes Title X grants to full-service medical facilities.
Created in 1970 to help the indigent and uninsured, Title X is federally-dispersed money designed to assist low income-qualifying women for non-abortion reproductive health services, including contraceptives and health screenings.

New video debunks Planned Parenthood’s 3 percent abortion myth
Planned Parenthood performs an abortion every 97 seconds.
A new video released by Live Action exposes how Planned Parenthood manipulates its own data to cover up the fact that abortion – not women’s health care – accounts for the lion’s share of the corporation’s services for pregnant women.
Live Action’s motion-graphics video breaks down Planned Parenthood’s self-reported corporate data, revealing how abortion is the core service and chief money-maker for the abortion chain.
Contrary to repeated claims by Planned Parenthood executives, mainstream media, and abortion advocates that abortion only accounts for 3 percent of its services, one in eight Planned Parenthood patients gets an abortion. The corporation commits over 30 percent of the nation’s abortions – over 320,000 abortions every year – or one abortion every 97 seconds.
To arrive at the 3 percent figure, Planned Parenthood divides the number of abortions by the number of services the facilities provide. These services, which include STI testing, pregnancy tests, pap smears, breast exams, birth control, and others, are counted equally with an abortion procedure. So even though abortion is much more profitable for Planned Parenthood, an abortion procedure is calculated as equivalent to a pregnancy test or contraception.

Laying the groundwork for pro-life leaders
Lauren Castillo is national director of the newly launched Faith Foundations – a project of Students for Life of America (SLA). Castillo says they've found it is especially difficult to establish pro-life clubs in faith-based high schools because of a lack of time and resources – or because administrators believe such groups are too political.
"And so Faith Foundations is really providing the answer with the free resources, with the free training from our field team across the country, and giving the advisers a guidebook to know how they reach their pro-life students in an effective way to get them plugged into the movement," she tells OneNewsNow.
Castillo explains that after identifying those students who are motivated to get involved, the next step is to get them to "meaningfully reach their peers with the reality of abortion [and] its life-affirming alternatives, and [to] connect them with local pro-life resources like a pregnancy resource center."

Fringe Catholic group promotes abortion funding with national ad campaign
An ad placed by "Catholics for Choice" in Monday's Chicago Sun-Times and 19 other news sources nationwide calling for taxpayer funding of abortion drew fire from the Chicago Archdiocese and Catholic leaders in the pro-life movement.
The ad launched a nationwide petition campaign the group is calling "Abortion in Good Faith," saying "Our campaign tells the stories of Catholics across the country who want meaningful, accessible reproductive healthcare choices for everyone, no matter how much money they have, where they live or what they believe. We believe hat everyone deserves access to abortion."
Catholics for Choice is not affiliated with the Catholic Church, and the ad was "deceptive," New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan said Wednesday.

The media’s race to the bottom in order to elect Hillary Clinton
![]() |
Pro-Abort Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton |
“You could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. . . The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. . . some of those folks, they are irredeemable.”
Among those Trump supporters who are the subject of Clinton’s character assassination are pro-lifers such as you and me...
Yesterday, the Washington Post took two approaches to tamping down the damage this smear of tens of millions of Americans and the fallout from the Clinton campaign’s decision not to tell the public that she had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday and told to take it easy for a few days.
Philip Rucker and Anne Gearan tell us
Had Clinton heeded her doctor’s advice, she would not have gone to a glitzy fundraiser Friday night where she let her guard down and inartfully talked about Trump’s supporters, nor would she have been spotted collapsing Sunday morning as she was rushed out of a 9/11 memorial ceremony.
And that
Clinton jokingly said that “half” of Trump’s supporters were in a “basket of deplorables — racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, you name it.”
“Let her guard down,” as in letting her true feelings come through? “Jokingly”? “Inartfully”? The only thing Clinton didn’t call “half” of Trump’s supporters was being anti-Semitic.

Naya Rivera talks about “one of those little scars”–the abortion she kept secret

Actress Naya Rivera |
Rivera says she did not reveal the pregnancy to Dorsey, whom she wed in 2014 and is now the father of her 11-month-old son. Instead, she made the call to put her career first and terminated the pregnancy during her one day off from filming an episode of Glee.
“It was very scary to open up about everything,” says Rivera. “It’s not something a lot of people talk about, but I think they should. I know some people might read it and say, ‘What the Hell?’ But I hope someone out there gets something out of it.”

Trump-Pence reaffirm commitment to appointing strict constructionists to Supreme Court, defending Hyde Amendment, and protecting religious liberty
![]() |
GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence |
Mr. Trump spoke to the largely Evangelical audience about many issues. Of critical interest to pro-lifers was his view on appointments to the Supreme Court:
But one of the most important [issues] – some people think it’s actually the most important – is the filling of the seats [on the] United States Supreme Court. You see what’s happening right now? Essentially it’s four and four. And you see what – how bad it is. We’re going to pick great judges. I’ve already put a list of 11 Federalist Society, highly recommended, got uniform great reviews on these 11 people. And we are going to put truly great people. Maybe we use Judge Scalia of the ultimate example of what we’re looking for, OK?
This will determine whether or not we remain a constitutional republic, frankly. That’s what’s going to happen. I have pledged to appoint judges who uphold the Constitution, to protect your religious liberty, and apply the law as written. We reject judges who rewrite the Constitution to impose their own personal views on 300 million-plus Americans. We’re not going to have that. I’ve made public a list of judges, as I said, that will guide my selection process. Hillary Clinton has refused to provide such a list. And we brought it up.
Let’s see a list. You ever saw the list you would walk out of here not feeling very well. Because she knows the extremist judges she would pick would be rejected by the overwhelming majority of the American public. They’d be rejected. ….
Gov. Pence, whose history of pro-life advocacy goes back decades to his time in the House of Representatives, spoke on Saturday at the Summit, affirming his and Mr. Trump’s pro-life credentials in numerous passages. For example
Let me make it crystal clear: People who know me well know that I’m pro-life, I don’t apologize for it. I want to live to see the day that we put the sanctity of life back at the center of American law, and we send Roe v. Wade to the ash heap of history, where it belongs.”
He added, to loud applause,
Let me assure you the Trump-Pence administration will stand for the sanctity of life and defend the unborn from the first day we take office. I’m truly grateful for Donald Trump’s strong commitment to the sanctity of life. He understands the moral imperative of advancing the cause of life.
And Pence said
When President Trump takes office we will work with the Congress and sign into law the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. We will end late term abortions nationwide. As my running mate said not so long ago, “We should not be one of seven countries that allows elective abortion after 20 weeks. It goes against our core values.”

World’s smallest newborn healthy and thriving at 9 months
![]() |
Emilia Grabarczyk |
Eight ounces!
Her foot, The Daily Telegraph reported “World’s smallest baby’ now thriving at nine months old“, was an inch long.
One inch.
Adam Boult reports that she is “believed to be the smallest ever baby to survive such an early delivery.”
Now Emilia weighs in a whopping 7lb 2oz “and is getting stronger with each passing day.”
Emily’s mother, Sabine, had no choice but to deliver Emily at 25 weeks, according to Boult. Dr. Sven Schiermeier, chief physician of obstetrics, said that without a caesarean, Emily would have died in the womb. The placenta was failing to provide her child with enough nutrition.

Dismemberment Abortion Ban Act introduced by Senator Lankford
![]() |
Sen. James Lankford |
Last April the Dismemberment Abortion Ban Act (H.R. 3515) was introduced in the House by Congressman Chris Smith (R-N.J.), a veteran legislator who is co-chairman of the House Pro-Life Caucus, with Vicki Hartzler (R-Mo.), Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.), and Trent Franks (R-Az.) as original cosponsors.
The bill is a top National Right to Life legislative priority.
“No unborn child should be subjected to the brutality of having her arms and legs torn off with steel tools that grasp, tear, and crush,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life.
The measure is based on a model state bill proposed by National Right to Life, which has already been enacted in Kansas, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana. The bill has also been introduced in Idaho, Missouri, and Nebraska, and is expected to be introduced in several other states.
The bill defines “dismemberment abortion” as “knowingly dismembering a living unborn child and extracting such unborn child one piece at a time from the uterus through the use of clamps, grasping forceps, tongs, scissors or similar instruments that, through the convergence of two rigid levers, slice, crush or grasp a portion of the unborn child’s body in order to cut or rip it off . . .”

Pelosi: No Zika funding if PP doesn't get money
![]() |
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi |
“Abortion has become a major issue related to the Zika virus because of a possible link to birth defects,” LifeNews explained. “New research suggests the virus may not be to blame for the uptick in birth defects in some areas affected by the virus. Still, abortion advocates have been using the virus as an excuse to push for more abortions on babies with disabilities. Some pro-abortion groups even have been scaring women into aborting their unborn babies without knowing if they have Zika – or if their unborn baby has a disability.”
Exploiting the Zika virus to promote abortion, Democrats in the Senate have seized the opportunity to say that both need to be funded – or neither – in order to properly fight the contagion.

Democrats choose Planned Parenthood over Zika funding for the third time
Fresh off a seven-week vacation, Senate Democrats filibustered more than $1 billion in funding to combat the Zika virus because it does not fund Planned Parenthood, the third time senators have held up relief for the disease over the issue.
A spending bill that included $1.1 billion in anti-Zika relief funding passed the Senate on Tuesday by a vote of 52-46, eight votes shy of the 60 needed to end a debate waged by Democrats.

New federal rule would bar states from defunding Planned Parenthood
The Obama administration is advancing a controversial new federal regulation that would bar states from defunding Planned Parenthood or other abortion providers, announcing the proposed guideline the Friday afternoon before Labor Day weekend.
The HHS rule would bar states from denying Planned Parenthood millions of dollars in Title X family planning funds based on any criteria “unrelated to the provider's ability to provide the services required.”

Yet more than 1,000 people showed up for the party, with police and firefighters providing a motorcade. She received cards and gifts from around the world and shout-outs from a number of celebrities.
Think about this: If Jerika had chosen to carry on, nobody outside her family and community would know about her struggles.
But as soon as she chooses to die, she becomes a celebrity.

Who is the Pro-Life Movement?
Who are we – the people called “the Pro-Life Movement”? Many years ago a syndicated columnist caricatured us as “a movement of bigots, ugly women, impotent men and fanatic moralists.”
Later in a book by a supporter of abortion rights, the author described us as “a bloody movement, a movement based on deceit, a movement not quite human in its modus operandi and its end.”
Characterizations like that continue today, and they are a natural response to who we are and what we believe. We don’t make sense in a secular, self-centered world.
We do for free what we wouldn’t do for money. We do for love what we wouldn’t do for power, and we do for others what we wouldn’t do for ourselves. That’s what it means to be our “brother’s keeper,” to “love our neighbor as ourselves” and to be “a Good Samaritan.”
However, despite such inaccurate characterizations of pro-life people, critics correctly use the word “movement” to describe us. That is crucial to understanding who we are. Pro-Life is not a protest group … not an organization … not a sectarian crusade.
Pro-Life is a mighty association of individuals, groups, churches, and organizations with people of all ages, colors, religions and nationalities. Pro-Life is a worldwide movement that has no counterpart.
