Illinois Senate passed the Equal Rights Amendment

ERA PASSED THE ILLINOIS SENATE

On April 11, 2018 the Illinois Senate passed the Equal Rights Amendment as Senate Joint Resolution Constitution Amendment 4 (SJRCA4). The fight now goes to the House.

Eight Republican Senators voted for the ERA. Pro-life Illinoisans deserve political leaders who will clearly commit to the protection of innocent unborn children, and who will follow through on that commitment.

While we are disappointed with all 43 Senators who voted for abortion, we are gravely disturbed by those who solicited pro-life support and presented themselves as pro-life but voted for the ERA. Their vote was a vote in opposition to life and will not be ignored. The Illinois Federation for Right to Life PAC, Illinois Citizens for Life PAC, Illinois Family Action PAC, Illinois Family PAC, and Lake County Life PAC will not endorse or support any legislator that casts a vote for such a sweeping pro-abortion piece of legislation as the ERA. The media’s race to the bottom in order to elect Hillary Clinton

Pro-Abort Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton
As you recall, two days before Clinton’s “episode” last Sunday at the 9/11 Memorial, she delivered a speech in which she said

“You could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. . . The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. . . some of those folks, they are irredeemable.”

Among those Trump supporters who are the subject of Clinton’s character assassination are pro-lifers such as you and me...

Yesterday, the Washington Post took two approaches to tamping down the damage this smear of tens of millions of Americans and the fallout from the Clinton campaign’s decision not to tell the public that she had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday and told to take it easy for a few days.

Philip Rucker and Anne Gearan tell us

Had Clinton heeded her doctor’s advice, she would not have gone to a glitzy fundraiser Friday night where she let her guard down and inartfully talked about Trump’s supporters, nor would she have been spotted collapsing Sunday morning as she was rushed out of a 9/11 memorial ceremony.

And that

Clinton jokingly said that “half” of Trump’s supporters were in a “basket of deplorables — racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, you name it.”

“Let her guard down,” as in letting her true feelings come through? “Jokingly”? “Inartfully”? The only thing Clinton didn’t call “half” of Trump’s supporters was being anti-Semitic.
