Brazilian Government May Force 13 Year old Girl to Have an Abortion

Girl does not want to have an abortion

Although a 13 year old Brazilian girl has told government authorities that she does not want to have an abortion, she may be forced to have one anyway, according to the prosecutor in her case.

The girl, who is five months pregnant, was allegedly raped by her father, who has been arrested.  Her mother is deceased.  The media has not publicized her name.

When interviewed by a prosecutor in the state of Bahia on Monday of this week, the child reportedly stated  that she does not wish to have an abortion.  The case worker from the local child protective services assigned to the child is also opposed to an abortion, stating that "the greatest right of the child is the right to life."

Secret Report Targets Americans 'If They Oppose Abortion'

Police Told Which Political Beliefs to Consider 'Dangerous'

A secret police report targets millions of Americans as potential "domestic terrorists" if they support the Constitution, oppose unlawful taxation, supported 2008 presidential candidates Republican Ron Paul, Libertarian Bob Barr or Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin, or if they are opposed to abortion, are against unconstitutional gun control, if they display pro-Constitution bumper stickers or own copies of certain books and documentaries. The report is part of an ongoing attempt by a number of organizations and movements to characterize law-abiding citizens as "white supremacists", members of "hate groups" or, more recently as "terrorists".

Abortion 'No Coercion' Sign Approved by ND House

North Dakota lawmakers say any abortion clinic in the state has to post a sign saying women cannot be forced to end their pregnancies. House members voted 83-6 to approve legislation requiring the sign. It now goes to Gov. John Hoeven for his review. The sign would have to be posted in a private waiting area. It says no one can force a woman to have an abortion.

Planned Parenthood Child Rape Cover-Ups Continue, Two More Clinics Busted

Two more Planned Parenthood clinics in Phoenix, AZ were caught on tape concealing statutory rape. In a developing multi-state child abuse scandal, these are the fourth and fifth Planned Parenthood clinics implicated. Employees deliberately neglect their legal obligations to report statutory rape, and instead offer secret abortions. Lila Rose and Jackie Stollar, both college students posing as 15-year-old girls, entered two Phoenix Planned Parenthood clinics undercover and told employees at one clinic that Stollar needed an abortion because her adult "boyfriend" had impregnated her, giving his age as 27-years-old at the second clinic. Arizona state law requires law enforcement to be contacted immediately if an adult-child relationship is revealed. Failure to report incidents of sexual abuse are punishable under this law.

The United Way of Buffalo & Erie County has rescinded a decades-old policy prohibiting funding for agencies that provide abortion services. The changes come nearly two years after Planned Parenthood of Western New York was denied a request for a $3,000 United Way grant to help cover costs associated with a merger of Planned Parenthood in Erie and Niagara counties.

Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) and Representative Barbara Lee (D-CA) joined the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SEICUS), NARAL Pro-Choice America, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Advocates for Youth and other leading health care groups to introduce a bill that would authorize federal funding for comprehensive and medically accurate sexual education. Analysis: Stem Cell Payoff Wait's Decades Not Days

Make no mistake: Federal law forbids taxpayer money from being used to create or destroy embryos, and only Congress could change that, considered unlikely. The National Institutes of Health now is developing guidelines on what kinds of stem cell studies will be allowed. The rules are due in July. ... It's a young science to be so contentious. University of Wisconsin scientists culled the first human embryonic stem cells _ from an embryo. But that initial culling of the cells does kill the days-old embryo. So critics say using the resulting stem cells _ which can propagate in lab dishes indefinitely _ makes taxpayers who are morally opposed to embryo research complicit in it.
