Six pro-life activists, including two Catholic priests, walked free after facing obstruction of justice and trespassing charges for refusing to leave an abortion facility waiting room. However, the pro-life activists were found guilty of trespassing and each given a $500 suspended fine. If they don’t trespass inside the abortion facility for the next year and maintain good behavior, the fine will be waived. They were found not guilty of obstruction of justice.
Inside that waiting room on September 15, 2017, they gave pregnant women roses and encouraged them to choose life. Police removed the activists from the facility, Alexandria Women’s Health Clinic, as they passively resisted arrest. The activists called this a “Red Rose Rescue.” It was because they passively resisted arrest, requiring wheelchairs to haul them out of the abortuary, that the pro-life activists were charged with obstruction of justice.

Prolife Provision in House-passed Tax bill passes House
On Thursday, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 1, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 which contains a new prolife provision.
Under the provision, parents will be permitted to name unborn children as beneficiaries of 529 College Savings Plans, and be able to start saving for their unborn child’s education before the baby is born. This would be the first time the unborn child has been written into the tax code.
The National Right to Life Committee supports this provision because it recognizes, in at least one area of law, that unborn children are people.
The Senate will take up their version of the tax bill following Thanksgiving. If passed, the Senate and House bill differences will be worked out in committee, with the goal of signing tax reform into law before Christmas.

Donald Trump is the most pro-life president in American history
It’s been a year since the “Election of the Century,” and political pundits everywhere are assessing President Donald Trump’s performance thus far.
Pro-lifers are evaluating Trump, too. Their verdict so far? He perhaps overreached in his campaign promises (what politician hasn’t?), but “The Donald” is the most pro-life, pro-marriage, and pro-family president in the history of the republic.

House Tax Reform Bill would be first time unborn child is include in tax code
The House is expected to vote on H.R. 1, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 November 16th. The tax bill contains a new positive provision related to the unborn.
Under the provision, parents will be permitted to name unborn children as beneficiaries of 529 College Savings Plans, and be able to start saving for their unborn child’s education before the baby is born. This would be the first time the unborn child has been written into the tax code.
The provision has been attacked by pro-abortion groups such as NARAL and Planned Parenthood. Even though this law in no ways deals with abortion, the pro-abortion lobby’s ideology compels it to deny the very existence of unborn human beings in any area of the law.
By the same token, the National Right to Life Committee supports this provision because it recognizes, in at least one area of law, that unborn children are people.

Adoption tax credit at stake in Congress decision
Congress is working to make sure adoptive families get a boost from the federal government.
The House version of tax reform dropped the adoption tax credit that helps people cover the expenses of an adoption, but the Senate version restored it. In addition, House Ways and Means chairman Kevin Brady (R-Texas) is proposing an amendment to the House version to put the adoption tax credit back in the mix.
OneNewsNow spoke with Tom Velie of New Beginnings Adoptions who calculated the savings for the government if it were eliminated.
"It hardly makes a drop in the bucket," says Velie. "It has such a potential negative impact on children and families. I don't think anyone who really looked into it would say that's the place to start cutting."
Cutting the tax credit would likely mean some eligible families would not adopt, leaving more children without a family.

Is the FBI preparing to investigate Planned Parenthood?
An FBI request for un-redacted Planned Parenthood documents from the U.S. Senate could signal an investigation into whether the abortion giant illegally sold fetal tissue from aborted babies.
The request was made to the Senate Judiciary Committee, whose chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) referred Planned Parenthood and several other organizations that perform abortions to the FBI after the committee investigated their practices of transferring fetal tissue. The report comes from The Hill news site, which cited unnamed sources familiar with the document request.
The Center for Medical Progress in 2015 released undercover videos appearing to show Planned Parenthood and other abortion industry leaders engaged in the illegal sale of the tissue and body parts.

NY Times columnist calls pro-life websites ‘fake news’, demands Facebook silence them
Facebook must start cracking down on “anti-abortion fake news,” according to an opinion piece in Friday’s online edition of the The New York Times.
British journalist Rossalyn Warren raised a rallying cry to abortion advocates to lobby Facebook to black out sites like LifeNews and Live Action, which she accused of producing “vast amounts of misinformation” — such as the correlation between abortion and breast cancer.

Sandra Bullock may portray pro-abortion activist politician Wendy Davis in upcoming film
“Miss Congeniality” actress Sandra Bullock (pictured left) is interested in portraying pro-abortion activist Wendy Davis (pictured right), the former Texas state senator most famous for an 11th-hour abortion filibuster in Texas, in an upcoming movie.
In 2013, she filibustered Senate Bill 5, a sweeping pro-life bill that sought to protect pain-capable 20-week-old preborns, ensure that abortionists had hospital contracts for emergencies, require abortion businesses to have the same safety standards as legitimate surgical facilities, and provide better care to women taking the dangerous abortion drug RU-486.

Supreme Court agrees to hear pro-life challenge to compelled pro-abortion speech
National Institute of Family and Life Advocates v. Becerra is a challenge to a 2015 California state law– the state’s so-called Reproductive FACT Act — that forces locally funded pro-life medical clinics to advertise taxpayer-funded abortions. The only known instances of the law’s enforcement have occurred in Los Angeles, “where city attorney Mike Feuer has leveraged an obscure law that mandates current signage for local business to force pregnancy medical clinics to comply,” according to Pregnancy Help News’s Jay Hobbs.
Savage describes the fight as “a clash between the state’s power to regulate the medical profession and the Constitution’s protection for the freedom of speech.” He wrote
California lawmakers passed the disclosure law two years ago after concluding the more 200 pregnancy centers in the state sometimes misled or confused women into believing they provided the full range of medical care, including abortions.
AB 775 requires licensed medical centers that offer free, pro-life help to pregnant women to post a disclosure saying that California provides free or low-cost abortion and contraception services. The disclosure must also include a phone number for a county office that refers women to Planned Parenthood and other abortionists. The law also forces unlicensed pregnancy centers to add large disclosures about their non-medical status in all advertisements, even if they provide no medical services.
Pro-abortionists are nothing if not persistent even though they lose and lose. As we have explained on many, many occasions, courts in Austin, Texas; Montgomery County, Maryland; Baltimore; and New York City have completely or mostly invalidated similar laws.
Pro-lifers succeeded most recently in Illinois. As Hobbs explained
In July a federal judge in Illinois handed down a major victory for religious conscience and free speech protection, granting a statewide preliminary injunction against a 2016 law change that would force pro-life medical providers to refer patients to abortion businesses upon request.
“It is clear that the amended act targets the free speech rights of people who have a specific viewpoint,” Judge Fredrick J. Kapala wrote in his order.

Trump blocks international support for abortion groups at G7 meeting
The Trump administration is blocking political and financial support for abortion groups in the highest echelons of international diplomacy, including the most recent G7 and G20 meetings.
The U.S. proposed compromise language during negotiations asking to qualify the term “sexual and reproductive health” by reference to UN agreements that explicitly deny abortion is an international right. In the end, it was negotiators from Canada and Europe who wanted no mention at all of “sexual and reproductive health,” preferring deletion to qualifying the term to exclude abortion rights.

Media outraged at NRA political spending, but Planned Parenthood dwarfs them by far
A Washington Post article’s attempt to call attention to political donations from the National Rifle Association over the last two decades after recent large-scale shootings was trounced when another journalist pointed out on Twitter that Planned Parenthood gives vastly more money to members of Congress than the NRA.
The Post story and its accompanying tweet began by saying:
The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis noted that Planned Parenthood’s Congressional donations far exceed those of the NRA, tweeting in reply:

Responding to Gov. Rauner Signing the Abortion Tax Payment
Illinois Medicaid already covers abortions in cases of rape, incest, and when the mother’s life is threatened by the pregnancy. The Hyde Amendment prevents federal funds from being used to fund abortions outside those instances, so to circumvent that, Illinois citizens are now going to help pay for those abortions. How did this come about? After promises and reassurance that he would veto HB 40, Illinois Governor Rauner signed HB 40 into law on September 28, 2017, making Illinois the first state to provide taxpayer-funded abortions to those on Medicaid.
Governor Rauner’s failure to keep his word is a betrayal against his constituents, the Republican Party, (every Republican state representative voted against the bill), and to pro-life conservatives state-wide. In response to this betrayal, a number of Illinois Republican politicians and grassroots organizations have spoken out, saying that they will no longer support him. As an alternative, Republican State Representative Jeanne Ives (R-Wheaton), West Point graduate and married mother of five, has announced that she is challenging Rauner in the 2018 March Republican primary as the true fiscal conservative and pro-family candidate.
Since Rauner’s decision to sign HB 40 into law, our firm has received phone calls asking for guidance. What can be done? According to State Representative Peter Breen, (R- Lombard) there is little likelihood of a constitutional challenge to the bill. However, there is a legal challenge underway as to the start date for the taxpayer funding of abortions seeking its further delay from January to June of 2018. If delayed, Representative Breen says this would save 1000’s of babies lives. Representatives Breen and Senator Dan McConchie have also introduced the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act to stop the funding. Additionally, the federal Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, now before the U.S. Congress, if passed, would ban abortions after 20 weeks which would also lessen the effect of HB 40.

National Right to Life praises restoration of Adoption Credit Tax
The National Right to Life Committee praised House Ways and Means Chairman Kevin Brady (R-Texas) (pictured) and Republican House leadership for restoring the adoption tax credit in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.
“Adoption affirms the unborn child’s right to life, allowing each baby to enter the world as a blessing for another family,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life.
While in effect, the adoption tax credit has served as an effective way to encourage adoption by easing the often-steep financial expense that can be incurred by adopting a child.

Object to abortion? You might need this law, Congressman says
Pro-life health care workers and institutions need stronger legal protections from pressure to help provide abortions, backers of proposed federal legislation have said.
“Healthcare is about saving life, eradicating disease, mitigating disability —not taking life,” U.S. Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) said Nov. 8. “At the very least, health care providers should have the right to not be coerced into facilitating abortion. Coercive anti-conscience policies are not only highly unethical but blatantly illegal. The law couldn’t be clearer on this matter.”
He spoke at a D.C. press conference in support of the Conscience Protection Act, which would protect health care workers from federal, state, and local abortion mandates if they conscientiously object to assisting with abortions. It would also protect religious employers from having to cover elective abortions in their health plans, and establishes a “right of action” in court for all entities if they believe their religious beliefs on the matter are violated.

Trump slams forced abortion, infanticide in North Korea
President Trump blasted the forced abortions and infanticide that are regularly committed in North Korea, asking why China would “feel an obligation” to help a country that kills Chinese babies for being “inferior.”
“North Korean women are forced to abort babies that are considered ethnically inferior,” Trump told South Korea’s National Assembly. “And if these babies are born, the newborns are murdered.”

Facebook cuts off another pro-life group, then reactivates account after media reports
Wexford/Missaukee Right to Life, an affiliate of Right to Life of Michigan, discovered the shutdown last month when they tried to “boost” a post. Wexford/Missaukee Right to Life president Teresa Fenby told LifeSiteNews the social media giant gave no notice, no explanation, and no instructions on restoring the account.
The internet phenomenon, which currently has 2.07 billion active users, only restored the Wexford/Missaukee Right to Life account after media scrutiny. The Detroit News and Mlive ran stories on the Facebook censorship, and in the course of investigating made calls to the networking giant.
Then, without explanation, Facebook reinstated the account.

Flashback: Planned Parenthood Donor Mila Kunis Says Unborn Are ‘Human’
Actress Mila Kunis recently revealed her monthly donations to America’s largest abortion provider on Conan. But, just last year, she acknowledged her pregnancy as a “human inside.”
On Nov. 2, Kunis told host Conan O’Brien about her “peaceful protest” against Vice President Mike Pence, whom she “strongly” disagrees with.
“As a reminder that there are women out there in the world that may or may not agree with his platform, I put him on a list of reoccurring donations that are made in his name to Planned Parenthood,” she said to applause. “Every month to his office, he gets a little letter that says like, an anonymous donation has been made in your name.”
But Kunis didn’t acknowledge the threat Planned Parenthood poses to the unborn, who she celebrates as life. In July 2016, a pregnant Kunis spoke about expecting her second child with husband Ashton Kutcher on Live with Kelly.
“I do have a human inside,” Kunis said. “Just one.” Four months later, she gave birth to Dmitri, who joined older sister Wyatt.

Illinois taxpayers, but not health care carriers, will pay for elective abortions in 2018
Taxpayers in Illinois will be paying for elective abortions for expectant mothers on Medicaid and employed by the state - but private companies in Illinois will not be offering the same coverage, a new study on Illinois programs said Wednesday.
Family Research Council released a study of the health care coverage being offered throughout the states as they pertained to elective abortions. Here's what they and the Charlotte Lozier Institute found about Illinois' programs:
Names of Insurance Carriers and Their Elective-Abortion Coverage:
1. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois (12): No plans cover elective abortion (2018 plan documents).
2. Celtic Insurance Company (9): No plans cover elective abortion (2018 plan documents).
3. Cigna Healthcare of Illinois Inc. (5): No plans cover elective abortion (2018 plan documents).
4. Health Alliance Medical Plans Inc. (61): No plans cover elective abortion (2018 rep. communication).
5. *Highmark BCBSD Inc. (7): No plans cover elective abortion (2018 plan documents).
There are a total of 5 insurance carriers being offered on the Illinois exchange in 2018. Highmark is new to the Illinois marketplace in 2018 while Humana is the only insurance carrier to leave the Illinois marketplace. In 2017, all 61 plans did not cover elective abortion. In 2018, all 94 plans will not cover elective abortion, a 33 plan increase in insurance options.

Students for Life launches 'Sock it' campaign
Students for Life has launched a national campaign to draw attention to Congress failing to defund Planned Parenthood. Executive director Kristan Hawkins is spearheading the drive to hold the abortion mega-corporation and politicians to accountable.
"We're going to be going to mega-Planned Parenthood facilities in Aurora, Illinois, Denver, Colorado, St. Louis, Missouri," she says. "And we're also going to be going to key senators' offices talking about why the Senate should uphold its promise to defund Planned Parenthood."
Students for Life collected more than a hundred thousand baby socks leading up to the first phase of the Sock it 2 Planned Parenthood campaign.
"Right now," she says, "some of the socks are touring college campuses showing students the enormity of Planned Parenthood's abortion business."
After the campaign, the socks will be donated to pro-life pregnancy centers to help moms.
