The Center for Medical Progress released a video showing the testimony
obtained from Planned Parenthood officials during the organization's lawsuit
against undercover investigator David Daleiden and the Center for Medical
Progress. Daleiden says that Planned Parenthood testimony recorded during his
trial only confirms what he originally set out to prove.
Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress were found guilty of breaking privacy laws in a California court for its original work. They went to court not to try Planned Parenthood for its ethically bankrupt actions, but to justify their own undercover reporting, something that their attorneys say is a clear violation of their first amendment rights. They plan to appeal all the way to the Supreme Court of necessary.
The Center for Medical Progress's original exposé involved undercover
investigators recording videos of conversations with Planned Parenthood while
posing as potential buyers of fetal body parts. It has been nearly five years
since the Center for Medical Progress released its initial video, and
Planned Parenthood has seemingly not suffered any consequences for its
actions.
