Man Driving to Abortion Clinic Runs Over Pro-Lifer, then Persuaded by Victim's Wife Not to Abort

A lone sidewalk counselor at a Cherry Hill abortion center is suffering from serious injuries after a young man driving his pregnant wife to the abortion facility reportedly struck the counselor and ran him over.  But the victim's wife says that the event probably saved a life, as she believes she was able to persuade the man afterwards not to have his unborn child killed.

The incident took place Saturday morning at the South Jersey Women's Center on Haddonfield Road.  George Krail was walking toward the clinic's driveway to offer literature as a car approached, when the driver ran into and over Krail, crushing and twisting his leg.  The initial impact was so severe it may have broken several of Krail's ribs.

Krail was taken to Cooper Hospital in Camden, where he is stable but continues to await surgery as of Saturday evening.

Embryonic Stem Cell Reversal is Distraction, Congressman Says

A top congressional Republican on Sunday criticized President Barack Obama's expected decision to reverse the Bush administration's limits on embryonic stem-cell research, calling it a distraction from the country's economic slump. "Why are we going and distracting ourselves from the economy? This is job No. 1. Let's focus on what needs to be done," Rep. Eric Cantor, the Republican whip in the House of Representatives, told CNN's "State of the Union." Obama's move, scheduled for Monday morning, is part of a broader effort to separate science and politics and "restore scientific integrity in governmental decision-making," White House domestic policy adviser Melody Barnes said Sunday. The Bush administration's 2001 policy bars federal funding for research on embryonic stem cells beyond the cell lines that existed at the time.

Sebelius at HHS a Boost for Abortion, Stem Cell Industries

Just as the oil industry got its way in the Bush Administration, the abortion and stem-cell industries appear likely to get their way in the administration of President Barack Obama. Obama’s nomination of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius as secretary of Health and Human Services is a boon for the big business of abortion and the government-dependant industry of using human embryos for stem-cell research. Sebelius has a long public record of protecting abortion from even the mildest of restrictions and regulations, and is a vocal proponent of expanded taxpayer funding of stem-cell research based on the cloning and destruction of human embryos.

Nebraska Abortionist with Ties to HHS Nominee Reopens Abortion Mill Under Dangerous Conditions

Partial-birth abortionist LeRoy Carhart, who partied with KS Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, is running his abortion "dump" on generator power

LeRoy Carhart's run-down abortion mill reopened on Saturday, March 7, 2009, after having been damaged by an accidental fire in January. Pro-lifers on the scene report that appalling conditions remain at the clinic.

Larry Donlan, Director of Rescue the Heartland, described the exterior of the dilapidated building as being surrounded by rusted-out vehicles and other junk, including a generator, which apparently supplied electricity for the day's abortion business.

Wealthy UK Couple Die at Swiss Dignitas Suicide Facility

MP calls for debate in Parliament

A wealthy couple from Bath, England, are the latest British citizens to end their lives at the Swiss suicide facility run by a group known as Dignitas, in Zurich. At the same time, euthanasia advocates in Parliament and some British medical associations are calling for a debate on the law prohibiting assisting suicide in the U.K.

Peter and Penny Duff, a retired wine consultant and his wife, died on Feb. 27, 2009. Both were suffering from terminal cancer. The couple's daughter, Helena Conibear, called what her parents had done a "beautiful and remarkable thing." She told the London Times, "It is an amazing story, but because of the legal issues involved we are unable to discuss it at this stage."

Liberal Democrat MP Dr. Evan Harris told media that their deaths are reason to call for a new debate in Parliament over the law against assisted suicide. Harris, known as "Dr. Death" for his vocal support for legal euthanasia, abortion and embryonic stem cell research, called the fact that in over 100 documented cases of "assisted dying" no one has been prosecuted, an indication that the law is outdated.
