Doctors, Hospitals Stand Against Assisted-Suicide Law

Doctors, Hospitals Stand Against Washington's Assisted-Suicide Law

Doctors and hospitals in Washington state are standing strong for life after voters legalized physician-assisted suicide last week.

Hospice of Spokane has said its mission is to care and support its patients, not help them kill themselves.

Spokane's Sacred Heart Medical Center, one of the largest hospitals in the Northwest, also opposes assisted suicide.

"This position is grounded in our basic values of respect for the sacredness of life, compassionate care of dying and vulnerable persons, and respect for the integrity of medical, nursing and allied health professions," according to a statement on the hospital's Web site.

"We do not believe health care providers should ever be put in a position of aiding a patient in taking his or her own life. … We will continue to advocate for increased support and resources for hospice and palliative care programs, at the Medical Center and in our community, that provide compassionate, pain-relieving comfort and care for those who are at the end of life."

Wesley J. Smith, senior fellow at the Discovery Institute and an attorney for the International Task Force on Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide, said no doctor can be forced to help others kill themselves.

"A powerful message could be sent if physicians around the state — if hospitals, nursing homes, hospices — refuse publicly to participate in assisted suicide, and put plaques and certificates up on their walls and lobbies saying, 'This is an assisted-suicide free zone,' " he told OneNewsNow.com.

Chemical Attack On Pro-lifers At Abortion Clinic Sickens Two

Chemical Attack On Pro-lifers At Abortion Clinic Sickens Two

Video tells of one woman who was hospitalized for four hours with vomiting, diarrhea, and swelling of the face and eyes.

Wichita, KS - Two pro-life volunteers participating in a round the clock prayer vigil were sickened last week, after being exposed to fumes from an oily substance that had been spilled across the driveway at George Tiller's late-term abortion clinic, Women's Health Care Services in Wichita.

One of the pro-lifers, Jennifer McCoy, was treated for four hours at a local hospital emergency room suffering from vomiting, diarrhea, and swelling of the face and eyes.  Another woman, Brandi Lozier, was with McCoy praying outside the abortion clinic in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 2, 2008, as part of the 40 Days For Life event. She suffered similar symptoms, but was not hospitalized.

After numerous tests, doctors told McCoy that her symptoms were the result of exposure to a foreign substance, and were not related to any viral or bacterial infection.  Hazmat was called to the abortion clinic and treated the area with a kitty-litter type of substance in order to absorb the noxious oily spill.

After being released from the hospital, McCoy filed a complaint with the Wichita Police Department, but, a week and a half later, arrest and prosecution of the unknown perpetrator seems unlikely.

"We suspect that this chemical attack may have been in retribution for Jennifer's help in documenting a botched abortion at Tiller's clinic a few weeks ago," said Operation Rescue spokesperson Cheryl Sullenger.

McCoy had interviewed Patient S. from her hospital bed after she nearly died from a botched abortion at Women's Health Care Services. McCoy also helped Patient S. get additional medical treatment for her abortion complications after it became obvious that neither Tiller nor the hospital where she had been taken by Tiller did not properly treat her.  This was not the first of such attacks on pro-lifers who minister outside Tiller abortion mill. In September, 2007, Tiller's security guard, John Rayburn, was photographed with a "stink bomb" that also sickened those on the scene. Prosecutors refused to file charges, and efforts to hold Tiller accountable in small claims court failed.

"We know whoever is responsible for endangering the health of these innocent women will only continue to be emboldened by a lack of prosecution," said Sullenger. "The only way to stop these cowardly attacks on pro-lifers is to catch the perpetrators and put them in jail."

Comatose Woman Weeps At Talk Of Abortion

A comatose woman gave birth to a 1.718-kg boy in the affiliated hospital of Guangxi Medical University last Wednesday. Tang Yulu, 29, suffers from cardiovascular disease and fell into a coma on April 26 when she was just two months pregnant. In July doctors suggested terminating because the fetus' existence would jeopardize Tang's recovery. While Tang's family were discussing an abortion at her bedside, she shed tears. Tang's parents and husband then decided to keep the baby. With the care of her family, Tang gave birth to the boy via C-section. Although underweight, the boy is in a stable condition in an incubator.

Murdering Babies With Disabilities Cheaper Than Care, Says Reproductive Health Alliance

A reproductive health lobby group has told the Senate Medicare funding for late term abortions is cheaper than funding disability care. A Nationals senator has accused the group of thinking "typical of the Hitler regime" after it suggested abortion was a cheaper alternative to looking after children with severe disabilities. The Australian Reproductive Health Alliance, which has as one of it aims the advancement of the status of women and girls, said removing a Medicare rebate for second-trimester abortions would save the government about $180,000 a year.

Judge Dismisses Stem-Cell Lawsuit Challenging Research Funds

A judge Wednesday dismissed a lawsuit filed by critics of embryonic stem-cell research, who wanted to block $21 million in state funds from going to life sciences research. Cole County Circuit Judge Richard Callahan ruled that no genuine legal dispute existed yet, and that the lawsuit amounted to a request for an advisory opinion. Missouri Roundtable for Life, which filed the lawsuit earlier this year, vowed to appeal and threatened to sue anyone who received the research grants. The group is concerned that those grants could go to support embryonic stem-cell research. "We will not let tax dollars go unrestricted to these groups that are privately controlled and may be used to make profits off abortions and research the legislature banned," said Fred Sauer, the group's founder.

Oklahoma Ultrasound Law Put on Hold

Oklahoma Ultrasound Law Put on Hold

An Oklahoma law that requires a woman to undergo an ultrasound and receive a description of her baby before aborting it has been blocked by court order just days before its scheduled implementation.

The Center for Reproductive Rights sued in October, claiming the bill violates a woman's privacy, endangers health and assaults dignity. The center, which aborts about 200 preborn babies a month, also claims the law would put it out of business.

The bill's sponsor, Republican Sen. Todd Lamb, told The Associated Press: "If any abortion clinic shut down, my hope would be that they shut down through a lack of demand."

The law will remain on hold until March 27.

Winners Announced Annual Pro-life Video Activism Contest

Winners Announced in Students for Life First Annual Pro-life Video Activism Contest

This fall, Students for Life of America (SFLA) hosted the first annual Pro-Life Video Activism Contest. The goal was to inject YouTube.com with pro-life videos produced by students (currently enrolled in either high school or college) all over the United States to help educate Americans about Planned Parenthood and the stances the presidential candidates had taken on abortion issues.

The students were asked to produce videos under 10 minutes in length based on one of two categories: De-funding Planned Parenthood or Pro-Life Voting in the 2008 Election. All videos had to focus on the pro-life topic of abortion only, and video styles could be documentary or scripted.

The videos were judged in the areas of creativity/originality, video filming/editing skills, ground breaking/newsworthiness, relevancy to the topics, and overall persuasiveness. The judges included Kristan Hawkins and Becky Banks of Students for Life of America, Bryan Kemper of Stand True, and Erik Wittington of Rock for Life.

The winners were announced on November 3, 2008, as the following:

1st Place: University of Florida Pro-Life Alliance  ($2000)

View the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5gY9YVvEx0

This video highlights documentation of some of history's greatest tragedies, from famines to genocide, and challenges our generation to take up the key human rights issue of our time, the rights of unborn children.

2nd Place: John Paul the Great Students for Life ($1500)

View the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lxzY1kFjKs

This video is about "Personhood- YES on Amendment 48" for the California 2008 election; it addresses what makes each human an individual person, from the obvious - our interests and hobbies, to the most fundamental - our DNA.

3rd Place: University of Michigan Students for Life ($1000)

View the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrPYan_DAK0

This video examines the differences between the two former presidential candidates in the '08 election on the issue of abortion and argues for pro-life votes with the touching story of a little girl born at 26 weeks gestation, who continued to live and grow as an equal person.

Hon. Mention for Creativity: Chris Kaiser ($500)

View the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPVu5J9cM7k

This video is an argument to vote for "Sarah's Law" in California in 2008, narrated by a young man raised by foster parents after his young mother chose to allow him to live.

Hon. Mention for Video Editing Skills: Franciscan University Students for Life ($500)

View the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCP52BxEZLY

This video honors the many great freedoms we enjoy in our country and appeals to Americans to vote pro-life so that the unborn can also have a right to life and the freedoms and opportunities the rest of us enjoy in the U.S.

SFLA issued a release congratulating each of the winners of the 1st Annual Students for Life of America Video Activism Contest and encouraging pro-life advocates to view the winning films and to pass them along.

Kristan Hawkins, Executive Director of Students for Life of America, remarked, "Video media is the next frontier in pro-life education and activism. Never before have pro-life students had such an opportunity to compete with their skills, to impact thousands nationwide, and to do their part to influence national policies from their home or school using only creativity, research, and some video skills."

She also pointed out, "Planned Parenthood and its supporters will have their hands full with these young activists growing and increasing across the country and learning to use unprecedented resources like online video sites, such as Youtube.com and Eyeblast.com, to expose their agenda against the rights of the unborn and women's health."

Removal of Food and Hydration “Inhuman Murder”

Removal of Food and Hydration from Italian Woman "Monstrous and Inhuman Murder"

A high-level Vatican official has warned an Italian court that to allow the removal of Eluana Englaro's feeding tube is a "monstrous and inhuman murder."

Englaro, 36, was severely injured in a 1992 car accident that left her in a state of minimal consciousness. She can, however, breathe on her own and is not on a ventilator; her "life support" has consisted of assisted feeding and hydration. Her father, Beppino Englaro, has been petitioning courts to remove his daughter's assisted nutrition and hydration since 1999.

The Court of Cassation in Rome, Italy's highest appeals court, was advised yesterday by Prosecutor-General (PG) Domenico Iannelli, to "allow Eluana to die" by the removal of her food and hydration.

Javier Cardinal Lozano Barragan, however, president of the Pontifical Council for Health, told media today that the push to remove Eluana's food and hydration was "a monstrosity."

"To deprive her of water and food means to kill her. It is inhuman," he said.

Food and water does not belong in the category of therapy, Barragan said. "In any case, to suspend hydration and nutrition in a patient in a 'vegetative state' worsens his condition, and the terrible death by hunger and thirst is a monstrous and inhuman murder."

In July, a lower court ruled that Eluana could be dehydrated to death, but the state appealed. Yesterday the court deferred its decision. The President of the Court, Vincenzo Carbone, said the decision "will be announced as soon as possible, given the particularities of the case."

Obama Will Fund UNFPA, Which Supports Coercive Abortion Program

Congresswoman Confident Obama Will Fund UNFPA, Which Supports China's Coercive Abortion Program

Speaking at a press conference at the National Press Club on Wednesday to release the 2008 U.N. report on the state of the world's population, Maloney said the funding will be approved by the Democratic majority Congress with the support of Obama.

"You know the president will have to do nothing," said Maloney, who also pitched her book, "Rumors of Our Progress are Greatly Exaggerated," at the event. "He will just have to let the will of Congress go through. One of the changes is that UNFPA will be funded."

Maloney was referring to the Bush administration's 2002 decision to stop giving money to UNFPA, based on the Kemp-Kasten Amendment, which states no U.S. funds "may be made available to any organization or program which, as determined by the President of the United States, supports or participates in the management of a program of coercive abortion or involuntary sterilization."

In July, Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte submitted a letter along with a report explaining the U.S. decision not to fund UNFPA for the sixth year in a row.

"The United States opposes coercive abortion and involuntary sterilization. I have determined that by providing financial and technical resources … to [China's] National Population and Family Planning Commission and related entities, UNFPA provides support for and participates in the management of the Chinese government's program of coercive abortion and involuntary sterilization," he wrote.

Maloney said she addresses the Bush administration's stance in her book.

"In it I have a chapter on UNFPA, and I talk about how we passed funding six times in the House and in the Senate to continue the critical work of UNFPA, which incidentally was founded with American leadership well over 30 years ago and was supported strongly by George Bush's father."

The U.N. report, entitled "Reaching Common Ground: Culture, Gender and Human Rights," "calls for culturally sensitive development because they are essential for human rights in general, and women's rights in particular."

The report also says "cultural sensitivity helps to mitigate and overcome cultural resistance to couples and individuals using modern contraception … It prepares the way for empowering women in particular with control over their fertility. Culturally sensitive approaches are essential tools for development organizations concerned with promoting sexual and reproductive health."

"This report could not be more timely," Maloney said. "It's all about cultural change, and we are really about to see major cultural change in Washington. Part of that hope and change will be a new attitude toward reports like this one, and I am confident we can be very sure (the report) will be taken to heart and listened and studied by our new president."

America will no longer "impose our own ideology" around the world under Obama's leadership, she added.

"(Obama) knows personally how important it is to work within a culture to bring about change," Maloney said. "He has done a beautiful job on that himself, and he has already said his administration will change the way we do business in Washington and that improving the role of women around the world is going to be one of his prominent priorities.

"I am thrilled with this report, and I am really thrilled at the new direction of our government," Maloney said.

During his campaign, Obama said he supports the 1973 Supreme Court Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion in the United States.

He also promised Planned Parenthood that he would sign into law the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), which strikes down all federal and state restrictions on abortion, including the ban on partial-birth abortion, and will establish abortion-on-demand in every state and the U.S. territories.

Obama also has said he supports "comprehensive sex education" in public schools that would include abstinence and information on "safe sex" practices.

According to the most recent U.S. State Department report on human rights in China: "The government continued its coercive birth limitation policy, in some cases resulting in forced abortion and sterilization."

Obama Takes Aim at Pro-Life Policies

Obama Takes Aim at Pro-Life Policies

Planned Parenthood expects to see 'real change.'

Americans won't have to wait for liberal nominees to the U.S. Supreme Court to undermine pro-life policies: President-elect Barack Obama reportedly is set to begin his attack on life during his first days in office.

Obama pledged during the campaign that one of his first acts in office would be to sign the Freedom of Choice Act if it hits his desk, a bill that would overturn many state abortion regulations such as parental notification and waiting periods.

He also is expected to rescind Bush administration restrictions on the use of federal funds for embryonic stem-cell research, and for abortions and abortion referrals by international agencies.

Ashley Horne, federal policy analyst for Focus on the Family Action, said this is not speculation.

"We have Obama's voting record and, of course, statements from Obama and his transition team about what he plans to do after he is inaugurated," she said. "The good news is we can expect that conservative Republicans will stand strong and band together like they've done for the last two years and really give the Democrats a run for their money."

Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, said her organization is regularly advising Obama's transition staff. "We expect to see a real change," she told The Washington Post.

Dr. Charmaine Yoest, president and chief executive officer of Americans United for Life, said Americans can expect to see more of their tax dollars going to Planned Parenthood and international abortion businesses.

"It's a very radical, leftist agenda," she told CitizenLink. "The pro-life community has got to saddle up to ride."

Dr. Alveda King, pastoral associate of Priests for Life and niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., said Obama's policies will increase the number of abortions.

"Pro-lifers must promise to redouble our efforts to resist anti-life proposals, speak up for the babies and, above all, pray," King said. "The elections are over. The pro-life battle begins anew."

Meanwhile, the Bush administration has appointed a leading life advocate, Princeton professor Robert George, as U.S. adviser on technology and bioethics to the U.N. World Commission on the Ethics of Scientific Knowledge and Technology.

The Common Struggle to Protect the Unborn

The Common Struggle to Protect the Unborn

As you would expect, pro-lifers voiced a deep appreciation of and concern about the fragility of our social institutions. They are genuinely worried that a Democratically-controlled Congress (every bit as eager to inflate the death toll as Obama himself is) will work hand in hand with the new President to start an undeclared but obvious war on those who have fought the abortion ethos for well over 30 years.

That's the bad news. The good news is they are unafraid, un-intimidated, and unwilling to concede an inch.

Likewise are the Catholic Bishops. My readers expressed joy that the Catholic Bishops are sending out strong, unambiguous signals even before President-elect Obama takes office. Let me quote from a letter issued yesterday by Cardinal Francis George of Chicago, head of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, on behalf of the Bishops.

"The recent election was principally decided out of concern for the economy, for the loss of jobs and homes and financial security for families, here and around the world," he wrote. "If the election is misinterpreted ideologically as a referendum on abortion, the unity desired by President-elect Obama and all Americans at this moment of crisis will be impossible to achieve," he added.

"Aggressively pro-abortion policies, legislation and executive orders will permanently alienate tens of millions of Americans, and would be seen by many as an attack on the free exercise of their religion," George said. He concludes by stating, "This statement is written at the request and direction of all the Bishops, who also want to thank all those in politics who work with good will to protect the lives of the most vulnerable among us."

Excerpts from the Statement of Cardinal Francis George, President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops

…The fundamental good is life itself, a gift from God and our parents. A good state protects the lives of all. Legal protection for those members of the human family waiting to be born in this country was removed when the Supreme Court decided Roe vs. Wade in 1973. This was bad law. The danger the Bishops see at this moment is that a bad court decision will be enshrined in bad legislation that is more radical than the 1973 Supreme Court decision itself.

In the last Congress, a Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) was introduced that would, if brought forward in the same form today, outlaw any "interference" in providing abortion at will. It would deprive the American people in all fifty states of the freedom they now have to enact modest restraints and regulations on the abortion industry. FOCA would coerce all Americans into subsidizing and promoting abortion with their tax dollars. It would counteract any and all sincere efforts by government and others of good will to reduce the number of abortions in our country.

Parental notification and informed consent precautions would be outlawed, as would be laws banning procedures such as partial-birth abortion and protecting infants born alive after a failed abortion. Abortion clinics would be deregulated. The Hyde Amendment restricting the federal funding of abortions would be abrogated. FOCA would have lethal consequences for prenatal human life.

FOCA would have an equally destructive effect on the freedom of conscience of doctors, nurses and health care workers whose personal convictions do not permit them to cooperate in the private killing of unborn children. It would threaten Catholic health care institutions and Catholic Charities. It would be an evil law that would further divide our country, and the Church should be intent on opposing evil.

On this issue, the legal protection of the unborn, the bishops are of one mind with Catholics and others of good will. They are also pastors who have listened to women whose lives have been diminished because they believed they had no choice but to abort a baby. Abortion is a medical procedure that kills, and the psychological and spiritual consequences are written in the sorrow and depression of many women and men. The bishops are single-minded because they are, first of all, single-hearted.

The recent election was principally decided out of concern for the economy, for the loss of jobs and homes and financial security for families, here and around the world. If the election is misinterpreted ideologically as a referendum on abortion, the unity desired by President-elect Obama and all Americans at this moment of crisis will be impossible to achieve. Abortion kills not only unborn children; it destroys constitutional order and the common good, which is assured only when the life of every human being is legally protected. Aggressively pro-abortion policies, legislation and executive orders will permanently alienate tens of millions of Americans, and would be seen by many as an attack on the free exercise of their religion.

This statement is written at the request and direction of all the Bishops, who also want to thank all those in politics who work with good will to protect the lives of the most vulnerable among us. Those in public life do so, sometimes, at the cost of great sacrifice to themselves and their families; and we are grateful. We express again our great desire to work with all those who cherish the common good of our nation. The common good is not the sum total of individual desires and interests; it is achieved in the working out of a common life based upon good reason and good will for all.

Our prayers accompany President-elect Obama and his family and those who are cooperating with him to assure a smooth transition in government. Many issues demand immediate attention on the part of our elected "watchman." (Psalm 127) May God bless him and our country.

U.S. bishops approve new blessing for unborn children

Children in the womb will now be able to receive a special blessing from their parish priests following an overwhelming vote by the U.S. bishops in favor of the new blessing.

"The Blessing of a Child in the Womb" has been in the works for two years, but Bishop Michael Saltarelli noted at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon that, "happily it's come to fruition at this time when I think it's important to reaffirm and focus our attention on the life of the unborn."  The bishop's remarks were apparently in reference to the recent election results and Cardinal George's remarks on not giving any ground to those who insist that Catholics set their beliefs aside in public dialogue.

Kline to Testify In Tiller Case

Phill Kline will face questioning next week by lawyers representing the Wichita abortion doctor he pursued for years as the state's top prosecutor. Kline, the former Kansas attorney general and current Johnson County district attorney, is on the witness list to be called by lawyers for George Tiller in a motion to dismiss misdemeanor charges related to how Tiller performed late-term abortions. Both Kline and his successor, Paul Morrison, are scheduled to be called in a hearing expected to last most of next week before Sedgwick County District Judge Clark Owens.

America's Abortion Holocaust Today

By comparing Germany's Nazi holocaust and America's abortion holocaust you'll see there is practically no difference between the mindset of holocaust then and now. As with slavery in early America, killing Jews in Nazi Germany, or killing babies in America today -- just because something is legal does not make it right. So how do you get a country to allow humans to be treated worse than animals? You use euphemisms to convince people that these actions are justifiable, or even beneficial.

State to Contest Challenge in European Court Over Abortion Laws

The Government is to contest a legal challenge in the European Court of Human Rights by three women in Ireland against the State's abortion laws. The defense to the challenge will be advanced on the basis that the women have not exhausted domestic legal avenues. The Strasbourg-based court has agreed to hear a challenge by the women, who claim their rights were denied by being forced to terminate their pregnancies outside the State. The women claim the restrictive nature of Irish law on abortion jeopardized their health and wellbeing.

U.S. Government Mandates HPV Vaccine for New Residents

Despite growing reports of serious and even fatal reactions to the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that people from other countries who want to become legal permanent residents of the U.S. are required to have the HPV vaccination to protect against cervical cancer. The new rule, outlined in the Centers for Disease Control's (CDC) revised Technical Instructions to Civil Surgeons for Vaccination Requirements, stipulates "age-appropriate" groups, which means girls and young adult women, have to show proof of the vaccinations or they will not be granted legal permanent resident status in the U.S.

HPV Vaccine Linked to 78 Types of Outbreaks of Genital Warts

The Gardasil vaccine has been linked to 78 outbreaks of genital warts, according to an article in The Fiji Times entitled "Are our girls guinea pigs?" by Matelita Ragogo. That's right. In addition to all of the other adverse reactions to this controversial vaccine, children who receive it are subject to outbreaks of genital warts. Unfortunately, not too many doctors take the time to educate parents about some of these possible reactions prior to giving little girls this expensive jab. Another concern about the HPV vaccine is that it hasn't even been evaluated for its potential to actually cause cancer. Nor has the vaccine been evaluated for the ability to cause genotoxicity (DNA damage). Moreover, it is also unknown as to whether or not this vaccine could possibly cause future infertility. For all of these reasons, and many others that have been previously reported, it would appear prudent for all parents to think twice before subjecting their children to this "mystery" jab.

Obama - the embryo-destructive president?

Obama - the embryo-destructive president?

President-elect Barack Obama is already signaling that he is unwilling to moderate his controversial views regarding the destruction of unborn children.

Barack Obama's transition chief John Podesta says the president-elect is likely to use an executive order to lift President Bush's restrictions on federal funding of embryonic stem-cell research. Obama, like Arizona Senator John McCain, believes such research will lead to cures for diseases like Alzheimer's.

Daniel McConchie, vice president of Americans United for Life (AUL), believes Obama's potential move to expand embryo-destructive research is consistent with his pro-abortion stance. "Unfortunately, what this will do is actually make the American taxpayers party to the destruction of human embryos for research that has not been shown to have any benefit to any human patients, as well being unethical in and of its own right," he contends.

Obama, according to McConchie, has already alienated the pro-life community by promising Planned Parenthood that he would enact the Freedom of Choice Act, which would eliminate all state and federal restrictions on abortion.

Infanticide exposed: Planned Parenthood's secret endorsement

Infanticide exposed: Planned Parenthood's secret endorsement

YouTube is yet again boycotting pro-life videos, according to Students for Life.

Executive director of Students for Life of America (SFLA) Kristan Hawkins videotaped a meeting with personnel at a Freehold, New Jersey, Planned Parenthood organization that is federally funded under Title X. In an undercover video, one staff member admitted that some aborted babies are born alive and then permitted to die, which violates federal law. SFLA then posted the footage on YouTube. Hawkins adds details to the story.

"YouTube banned our video. We put up two versions of the video and they banned both," she explains. "So we have put it up with Eyeblast, so it's Eyeblast.tv. If you go to our website at StudentsForLife.org, you can see it there."

YouTube told Hawkins it dropped the videos because of inappropriate content. "If you go to YouTube and look up what inappropriate content is, it's something that has nudity, graphic sexual references, violence, or hate speech -- nothing which is included in our video," she points out.

Hawkins believes YouTube's actions represent nothing short of censorship. "YouTube's bias is clearly visible with these actions. YouTube is no friend to pro-lifers," she contends. "If Planned Parenthood isn't doing anything wrong and illegal, then why are they and their allies aggressively hiding videos from the public that show their staffers explaining their medical procedures to patients, the women they claim to care about?"

The video can be viewed at http://www.eyeblast.tv/public/video.aspx?v=e46UqG8zSU. An extended version is available at http://www.eyeblast.tv/public/video.aspx?v=e46UZuaGSU.

Priests for Life Receives Post-Election Death Threat

Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life Receives Post-Election Death Threat

I received the following message on my blog (http://www.priestsforlife.org/blog) the day after the elections:

"IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR FATHER FRANK PAVONE

"I am predicting that there will be more anti-abortion terror because of this election. I AM ALSO PREDICTING THAT THIS TIME IT WILL BE ANSWERED IN KIND BY PRO-CHOICE COUNTERTERRORISTS, who will mount similar terrorist attacks against well-known right-to-lifers. FATHER FRANK will be a natural target for pro-choice counterterrorists.

"I therefore advise you, Fr Frank, if you read that there has been another abortion-clinic shooting or bombing, get out of town immediately. Take a vacation abroad. Go visit the Vatican. If there is another act of anti-abortion terror, your life will not be safe in the USA.

"Good luck."

Some other pro-life leaders received a similar message, and it has been reported to law enforcement.

Pro-abortion extremists call the pro-life movement "violent." Yet it's the most peaceful movement of social reform in our nation's history. In fact, the most confrontational aspect of our movement, Operation Rescue, brought about over 70,000 arrests from 1987 to 1994, yet not a single one of them was for violent activity.

We also know that any time a movement is as big as ours, there will be a handful of people - disconnected from the movement - who embrace violence as a tactic. The same was true of the civil rights movement and the abolitionist movement.

But of no movement is it more true than the pro-abortion movement. It's just that the public doesn't know of their fanatical violence. It starts in the womb, of course - the very action they promote as a "right" is in fact violence. "Typically, the skull is brought out in fragments rather than as a unified piece," abortionist Martin Haskell testified in court in 1999 regarding the legal "D and E" abortion procedure.

And their violence extends beyond the womb. Just visit http://www.prochoiceviolence.com to see that our movement has been able to document 8519 acts of violence (and counting) by the other side. Pro-abortion fanatics have attacked pro-life demonstrators, have kidnapped women to force them to abort, have murdered born babies, and much more.

So for the visitor to my blog to send that message just reinforces the truth about the "abortion-rights" fanatics. Violence is their way of life.

But why blame Obama? Of course, he is the most pro-abortion person elected to the Presidency. Perhaps they're thinking back to President Clinton, whose attempts to stop peaceful intervention coincided with the killing of some abortionists. Or perhaps they're thinking of President Kennedy's assertion, "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."

But we already have a peaceful revolution - and not only is it possible, it's growing! As long as I have anything to say about it, there won't be any "anti-abortion terror." Instead, there will be peaceful vigil, 24-hours a day, around abortion centers. That both stops abortions and stops the killing of abortionists.
