A disgruntled pro-abortion driver attempted to run down pro-life advocates from Hope Beyond Abortion outside an abortion business in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee on April 27, 2022. After she was arrested, the woman faced four felony counts of aggravated assault. Due to an unusual plea deal offered by Hope Beyond Abortion, the driver will not face jail time.

Bo Linam, the founder of Hope Beyond Abortion, spoke with Live Action News about the case. When the Assistant District Attorney asked the pro-life group how they felt about possible sentences, Bo wanted to do something different. “I told [the Assistant DA], ‘I don’t think ruining this girl’s life is the right call. That’s not gonna change her heart.’”

After praying, Linam asked the Assistant DA if the woman could instead choose to help Hope Beyond Abortion with three upcoming baby showers for children who were saved from abortion. The Assistant DA liked the idea, and all parties agreed.

The first of the three baby showers will be held on October 8th.
